On March 21-22, Rick Barry, Beth Steury, and another author friend Julienne Lingle (non-ACFW) joined forces to sell books at the annual Indiana Homeschool Conference in Ft. Wayne. In addition to selling books, the three engaged in many conversations and made new friends, too. During the conference, popular Christian speculative author Bryan Davis dropped by their booth to chat about books and writing.

Abbey Downey found a copy of her recent release, An Unexpected Catch, at the Kokomo Public Library.

Ronda Wells sold an article to Guideposts for Veterans Day. Her first novella, The Christmas Cherub, will launch in July 2025 (inspired by the true story of the L.S. Ayre’s clock cherub, this cherub may have an interesting talent – the ability to tell true love!)

Janice Miller entered poems in 5 categories of the Poetry Society of Indiana’s spring contest and took 1st place in one of the categories.

On July 25 & 26, ACFW-Indiana’s past president Rick Barry will be joining the faculty of Taylor University’s 2-day writers conference. Regardless of whether you plan to attend this Fall’s ACFW national conference, Taylor’s inexpensive local conference can give you guidance, a healthy dose of literary inspiration, plus “writerly” fellowship to recharge your creative batteries!
